Biography of Band

AEBA stands for the four archdemons Astaroth, Eurynome, Bael and Amducias. They are the horsemen of the Apocalypse and they bring death, pest, famine and war. (Revelation, Chap.6).

The roots of AEBA have its source in the year 1992. In this year Isegrim (formerly Occultum Nocturnus, guitar & vocals) and Schattensturm (formerly Funeral Wisdom Of The Elder Wintermoon, guitar & vocals) decided to live out their extreme sides in form of the black metal band Eternal Suffer.

In the first years of their existence they collected ideas and searched for capable comrades. After several line-up changes Nidhogg (drums) joins as a fix member in 1994 and they changed their name into AEBA because of the lasting unity for the first time.

In 1995 Exul (bass) was initiated and AEBA started to banish their creations to sound storage mediums. The result was the "The Rising" demo tape (1995) which dark atmosphere is backed by keyboard sounds played by Schattensturm.

To get this backing also at live gigs, they took in Deamonia (synth) in 1995.

Again AEBA went to studio to record their second demo tape "Im Schattenreich ..." (1997).

As a result of good reviews in underground zines the first two demo tapes were spread very good and after many offers AEBA signed a deal with Last Episode for three albums which started with the release of "Im Schattenreich ..." on CD.

End of 1998, beginning of 1999 AEBA's third work "Flammenmanifest" arised. The songs on this album were much more developed and they were an enhancement in arrangement and composition without suffering any losses in agression and dark atmosphere.

Because Nidhogg couldn't follow the permanent enhancement of AEBA and he applied himself to many other interests, they part with him consensual in summer 2000.

Some new drummers were checked but they cancelled their search frustrated and decided to record the new material with a drum computer. The fourth work came into beeing, "Rebellion - Edens Asche" (2001).

In autumn 2001 AEBA finally could fill up the place at the drums with Infernal Desaster (drums) but more line-up changes were necessary: Daemonia left the band because of private motives in the beginning of 2002.

With Hellischer (Synth) they found a condign replacement in the middle of 2002.

Since the beginning of the year 2003 AEBA have centered themselves on writing new songs which are much more diversified because of the integration of both new members into the songwriting. They get the first positive reactions on it when they recorded three songs for promotional use in their rehearsal room in september 2003.
