In February 2002 Irritant was under the name Pustule with Erik F. (me), Cory D., old guitarist Henry J., and old drummer
Jeremy D.. As soon as this lineup gelled we began writing material. Our style was a lot slower and simpler then,
reminiscent to older Suffocation.
We tried several bassists over the spring and summer of 2002, most of which were either hacks or had ulterior agendas
which kept them from joining up. So we stayed a four-piece until we finally talked an old friend (Phil H.) to join the
ranks in August of 2002.
Shortly after the acquistition of Phil we had to let Jeremy go. As our music progressed it got faster and more technical
and Jeremy, who was only a part time drummer anyway, was replaced by Chris B.
We started doing live shows in April of 2003; over a year after our inception and during the spring and summer we played
quite extensively locally and did some shows abroad. We also released our first demo, "Diseased With Passions" in late
summer 2003.
In October of 2003 Henry quit Irritant and moved away. He was replaced by Dustin M. and we have had the same lineup ever
