Biography of Band...our tunes and words are nothing but pure reflections from our own lives.
...our words are thoughts, created and sung out with the breath when we are moved by great forces and ordinary speech no longer suffices.. in the creating process the words and also tunes what we need will come out themselves. when the words and tunes we want to use shoot up themselves – we get a new song. the meaning of the words and tunes would be something like "to feel emotion"..
the inspiration for our material comes always from the spirit itself.. by forgetting all the teachings and absolute truths the inner-meanings / pure essence of dolorian will be much more easier for you to understand... stop excessive and unnecessary thinking.. forget your past..
Dolorian was formed in summer 1997 by a. kukkohovi & a. haapapuro. in autumn 1997 the first official dolorian promo tape was recorded (tico-tico studios) - during that time we had temporary keyboard player h. riihinen. soon after this we signed a record-deal with wounded love records.
the debut album 'when all the laughter has gone' was recorded in april 1998 at tico-tico studios - a new keyboard player j. ontero joined the band during 1998.
Our second self-titled full-lenght album was also recorded at tico-tico studios june 2000.
At the end of 2002 we recorded a track titled 'ekstasis' for dolorian / shining split 7". unlike before we recorded 'ekstasis' by ourselves in blue vortex (not in expensive studio).
...people who can dream hear and see many things..
...we have never had any target-groups to whom we would like to point our musical work, except to ourselves..
