Biography of Band

From their inception in November 1998, Highroad No. 28 have always stayed true to their roots, defying trends and
untiringly pumping forth a heavy and groove orientated style of rock.

After four months of arduous rehearsal the band entered the studio to record their debut release 'Obscure Madness', a
five-track CD/EP with a deranged and unearthly sound. The CD was recorded, mixed and produced in three days, and after
its release in April 1999 the band enjoyed many positive and encouraging reviews, from both local and international music
press.

After the release of 'Obscure Madness', up until the end of 2001, the band incessantly promoted 'Obscure Madness', went
through several line-up changes, and wrote and refined new material for future releases.

September 2002 saw the band once again return to the studio to record their second release, another five-track CD/EP,
entilted 'Dynamic Introspection'. The disc, which featured only drummer/vocalist Andrew J. Cantwell and guitarist Phillip
Brien (Brien also playing bass on the record), was officially released in October 2002.

After procuring a full three peice line-up in late 2002, 2003 was to see the band fully focus on the local live scene.
Their first ever gig was played on May 24 2003, from which a number of gigs followed, including a (belated) CD launch for
'Dynamic Introspection' which saw the band play to a large and passionate audience.

July 2004 saw the departure of long-term Highroad No. 28 guitarist Phillip Brien. The band, determined and poised as
ever, found a replacement, in the form of Steve Young, within a weeks time. He was subsequently replaced by Alex Markovic.

In addition to recording again and writing a plethora of new songs, 2005 will see the band play continual live shows and
also embark on a mini-tour of Australia . Mid 2005 also will see the band enter the studio to record their debut album,
"Past Psychiatric History"
