Biography of BandDown was a side project involving several well known musicians on the Louisiana metal scene. The band formed in the early 90's and in January 1992 they went into a garage studio to record their first demo material. A couple more demo jam sessions were recorded until they finally released their debut album NOLA (standing for New Orleans Louisiana) in 1995. The there were several years of silence as the band members were busy with their other bands until finally in 2001 they recorded their second album. The second album debuted at the Billboard charts at no. 44, selling more than 30000 copies in the first week of sale. In December 2003 the band parted ways with their label Elektra Records due to their inability to promote the band properly. |
