Biography of BandANARION was formed early 1999 by Riccardo Mecchi. The band initially consisted of Riccardo (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Michael Vrljic (Guitar)
and Simon D'Alfonso (Bass). Luke Burnham joined ANARION in October 99.
Danny Cecati, the singer of the successful metal band Pegazus, came down to an ANARION rehearsal. Riccardo had met him at a Pegazus show
in Melbourne months before.
In January of 2000, Danny rang Riccardo with a proposition. He asked how he would feel about stepping down lead vocals to just play
guitar and for him to join the band. After much deliberation the Anarion agreed to let Danny join. In March Danny was fired from Pegazus.
In June of 2000, Michael and Simon decided to leave the band in order to pursue other careers. The rest of ANARION decided to continue
on, however hard a blow this was.
In November of 2000, the vacant second guitar position was filled by Steve Stergiadis, who immediately impressed the band with his mature
playing style.
January of 2001, a mutual decision was made in the best interest of the band and Danny Cecati left Anarion. Riccardo has again taken up
the role of vocalist.
April 2001 Anarion's lineup is once again complete, with the joining of new bassist Chris Binding.
In June 2001, Anarion entered the studio to record their debut album 'The Journey Begins...'
In January of 2002 , Chris Left Anarion. he moved interstate due to personal reasons. Chris is replaced by Erf.
In February of 2003, Erf is asked to leave Anarion.
In June of 2003, Joe Frisina is announced as Anarions new bassist
