AnAkA (pronounced Anna-Kuh) is a Hard Rock/ Heavy Metal band from Brooklyn, New York, USA, whose musical influences are Alice In Chains, Black Label Society, Corrosion Of Conformity, Metallica and Black Sabbath. AnAkA was originally formed in 2000 but has quickly established a fan base in the NY underground heavy metal and hard rock scene as well as the rest of the USA. AnAkA has performed and has also headlined historic and world famous NYC and NJ venues such as CBGB's, The Continental, L'Amour, Count Basie Theatre (holds 1,400 people), Castle Heights, etc. AnAkA can be described as a powerful live band, which can move their audience sonically, physically, and even psychologically.
AnAkA, "Down Devil's Road," released Fall 2001, was the bands first studio album, and it contains 7 heavy and heart felt tracks.
