Biography of Band

Atroxentis has been formed in 1997 by Thibaut and Nicky. At the time the band was composed by: Thibaut: Bass/Vocals, Yannick: Guitars, Gavin: Guitars, Christophe: Drums. They worked together during two months and did two gigs, one at the Spirit of 66 in Verviers and the other for the Emergenza contest. After that Gavin left the band and a new guitarist came, David. They then gave a lot of shows. But because of their studies, Yannick and David couldn't assume their role anymore and so after a while Atroxentis split up.

At the end of 1998, Yannick reformed Atroxentis with Sven (drums). They worked with several guitarists (Thanx to Cedric, David, Phil). Sven and Yannick recorded two tracks in april 2000 for the 'Unleash your dark side' compilation (studio 1/3 - Liege): 'Seven pearls' and 'Pregant soul'. Then Ludo joined the band as the new bass player, and shortly after, Greg, as guitarist. They worked on new songs and did two gigs, in October 2002, one at the DNA in Brussels, and the other at the OHK in Oostende. Then Greg left the band for personal reasons. After a while they, again, found a new guitarist, David. Since then, they have done a lot of gigs everywhere there could. Atroxentis has now recorded its first album, Blood heals my wounds, into its own personal studio. They are now working on new songs and searching for a label.
