Discography

CD: Godflesh (1988) Studio: Swordfish Records. Tracklist.
Comment: Re-issued in 1990 by Earache with 2 bonus tracks:
"Wounds" and "Streetcleaner 2"
CD: Streetcleaner (1989) Studio: Earache. Tracklist.
Comment: The original release consisted of tracks 1 - 9.
EP: Cold World (1991) Studio: Earache. Tracklist.
EP: Slateman (1991) Studio: Earache. Tracklist.
Comment: This 7inch was also released the same year by Sub Pop.
CD: Slavestate (1991) Studio: Earache. Tracklist.
Comment: Two years after the breakthrough album Streetcleaner, the band released a 4 song ep titled Slavestate. This ended up being released in 3 different formats, the 4 song ep, a 3 song remix ep and a 9 song mini lp. Originally it was supposed to be released as 2 separate ep's on cd, but Earache didn't go for that. Listed below is the 9 track mini lp. The other releases are in the EP section. Best known for the Techno influenced sound, a large number of Godflesh fans were disappointed. The band's fan base was dramatically changed due to this record.

The packaging for this Slavestate was identical to the original 12", except this version which also had the pictures from the Slateman single.

Slavestate was re-released as Mosh 30 and Mosh 30CD March 14th 1995.
CD: Pure (1992) Studio: Earache / Relativity. Tracklist.
Comment: This is the band's second full length album. It marks the first Godflesh release to have Robert Hampson of the band Loop on guitar. The bonus track Love, Hate (Slugbaiting) features 3 minutes of material from Fall of Because, Godflesh's predecessor (w/ Paul Neville on guitars)
EP: Merciless (1994) Studio: Earache. Tracklist.
Comment: Re-released in 1996 as double CD with Selfless on first CD. Merciless has two
extra tracks Crush My Soul (Ultramix) (15:01) and Xnoybis (Psychofuckdub)
(17:26) which makes total time of 60:49
CD: Selfless (1994) Studio: Earache. Tracklist.
Comment: Re-released in 1996 as double CD with Merciless on bonus CD. Jewel box has
hologram cover which is a combination of both album covers. Merciless has two
extra tracks Crush My Soul (Ultramix) (15:01) and Xnoybis (Psychofuckdub)
(17:26) which makes total time of 60:49
EP: Crush My Soul (1995) Studio: Earache. Tracklist.
Comment: Track 1 is the album version. Though the names differ, track 2 is the same as the remixed version found on the promo 12" and cd.

This was not released in the US.
CD: Songs of Love and Hate (1996) Studio: Earache. Tracklist.
Comment: A very different approach and sound, yet again a third band member was included. Brian (brain) Mantia played live drums for the first time on a Godflesh record. He left before the tour, to be replaced by Ted Parsons of the band Prong. The band begins to incorporate more dance beats again and the drumming adds a lot to the sound.
Remix CD: Love And Hate In Dub (1997) Studio: Earache. Tracklist.
Comment: Remix album of "Songs of love and hate"
CD: Us and Them (1999) Studio: Earache. Tracklist.
Comment: Released on May 17th in Europe, June 8th is the US release date.

There are no live drums on this record, unlike the last release.
Live to Lose is actually an older track, originally recorded in 1995, but never released.

A dub counterpart was scheduled, but never released.
Compilation: In All Languages (2001) Studio: Earache. Tracklist.
Comment: Tracks 16-28 are remixes.

CD: Hymns (2001) Studio: Music For Nations/Koch. Tracklist.
Comment: Scheduled for release on October 23rd, 2001. Music For Nations is the international label while Koch is releasing the record in the US.
Track 13 is a 6 minute song, then a minute of silence, then another 'hidden' track.
CD: Messiah (2003) Studio: Relapse. Tracklist.
Comment: This EP was originally recorded in '94 and only sold through Godflesh's official
web site, since it was released on Justin Broadrick's own label, Avalanche
Recordings. This is the 2003 reissue on Relapse Records.
