Gothic Metal band founded whilst still all teenagers in Gothenburg during 1998. The same year MADRIGAL offered the two track 'Enticed' demo CD. The band's big break came in 2000 when a support slot to famed Death Metal band IN FLAMES impressed the headline act's vocalist Anders Friden to such a degree he offered to produce the band's debut album. Friden would also be instrumental in landing MADRIGAL a deal with Germany's Nuclear Blast label.
'I Die, You Soar' duly arrived in September of 2001, supported by an opening slot to THERION's November Scandinavian dates. The band parted ways with drummer Marcus Bergman in September of 2002, the sticksman apparently suffering from hearing loss.
