The band is formed in 2004 under name Olive in Syria, Homs city.
After several years of work and training, Feras Al-Qaie The bandleader, had his sharing in many bands before in Emic, and as a guest in Sphinx and Scrap.
Feras fells into hibernation between 2002 and 2004, then it was the first idea to form a band and to play melodic doom music.
Feras with his old friend Qasim Eisa take a decision to form that band, and the two worked together to complete their dream and to play metal music for the fans in Syria and all over the world.
At first the band used to train at Qasim's house, but when the matter began to be more serious with loud music through out training, the band decided to find a place for their rehearsals.
They go to find a place for training, of course that takes a long time, then they find their aim, it is a small cellar but it is active and useful for their claim.
After tow weeks of training, the band found their bass player Zeiad Al-Sofi, who was a suitable and active member for playing metal and doom music.
Through out this period Olive were with their second guitar player who was Abd Al-latif Al-maloohi, he trained with the band for some months and he shared them the recording of their first album, then he left the band because of a personal reasons.
Of course after all that labor more than year of rehearsal, the band accomplished the first step for recording the new album under name Cellar, they recorded it successfully, at that period the female vocal who is also famous and skillful actor She acted in many plays on stage, despite of her studying medicine she also has a wonderful, euphonic and tuned voice, her voice helped her to sing in great way, She is Eleanor.
With all that hopes Olive could finish the new album successfully with the gifted female vocal Eleanor. |
